Tristan's connection to the Dordogne region of France dates several generations. His father Etienne, was born in the village of La Roque-Gageac, which not surprisingly is a member the Les Plus Beaux Villages de France ("The most beautiful villages of France") association.

About 27 km away,  Tristan spent every Summer at Maison Neuve, one of 10 or so houses owned by his family along a stretch of road just outside of the village of Urval. I was lucky enough to visit this area recently, and absolutely fell in love with the magical, medieval architecture, rolling green hills, sunflower farms, the winding Dordogne river and of course, the members of my new family that reside here every Summer.

It's truly an enchanting place, and for those who we are lucky enough to have join us, it will be a trip not soon to be forgotten.

We will be providing travel guidance as you think about planning your trip to join us. We hope you will be able to take some extra time to explore the region. Flights can be booked into Paris or Bordeaux, whereby you'll connect via train to join us. We can't wait to have you!
